Once again the first step is a full dry vacuum. This is important as it removes all the dry soiling which if made wet could cause colour to be released onto the face fibres. The suite will be vacuumed over all its surfaces to include surrounds, both sides of the cushions and the frame. Following this any individual stains will be treated with the most suitable product to aid it's removal. If no protection has been applied to the suite prior to use these stains maybe harder to remove.

Protecting the flooring under the suite is important and where necesary a waterproof membrane and cotton sheet would be used to catch any surplus moisture or overspray. If the suite is to be wet cleaned it will now have a pre spray applied to aid the removal of general soiling, especially in the areas where the arms and head rest, and on the cushions. This will be brushed into the fibres to help loosen the soil. The suite will then be cleaned and rinsed with the appropriate method to remove deposits from the pre cleaning processes and excess moisture wiped off with terry towels.

Finaly to reduce the drying time, turbo driers would be used. After cleaning is the ideal time to apply a stain protection product like Fibreshield. These increase the newly cleaned fibres chances of remaining stain free in the future. The application of such products will not stop the suite from getting dirty but it will help reduce the chances of further stains becoming permanent.
