On an average a carpet contain 7 Billion bacteria and other micro-organisms per square metre. These micro-organisms can affect health and may cause respiratory and skin problems. Max Germ Guard™ Fibre Shield™ is a carpet and upholstery fabric protector that is effective against a broad spectrum of micro-organisms, including certain viruses, mould, mildew, fungi and yeasts. When Max Germ Guard™ Fibre Shield™ is applied as a carpet or upholstery fabric protector; it permanently bonds molecularly to its surfaces to form a new antimicrobial surface which is durable, resistant and ready to destroy harmful bacteria. It is a water based carpet fabric protector containing millions of microscopic protectors that attach themselves to the surface of the fibre, like a “bed of nails”. As soon as microbes come into contact with the Fibre Shield ™ barrier the cell wall is pierced and immediately destroyed.
